Platform Tennis (Paddle)

Platform Tennis, also known as “Paddle”, is a fun racquet sport enjoyed outdoors all year long. This unique sport is played on a surface one third the size of a regular tennis court surrounded by 12-foot high screens that are used in play.

Paddle — the second most popular sport at the Club, with over 100 active participants — is considered by many to be the most social of all country club sports. At Knickerbocker, you’ll find a multitude of socially-driven ladies’, men’s, and mixed events, including themed parties. In addition, our Program offers private and group lessons, clinics, Pro-Am and Member-Guest events, as well as open play. Junior clinics — with our most popular Pizza Party events for younger members.

The competitive season runs from October through March. The Club participates in the Men’s and Women’s Interclub Paddle Leagues and fields four women’s and four men’s teams. Opportunities are available for all levels of play, from beginner to advanced.
